It all started with a cookie craving.

Little did I know that the Great Food Blogger Cookie Swap would become what it is today, still going strong for the 5th year running.

Hooray for cookies!

I am so excited to announce the launch of this year’s Great Food Blogger Cookie Swap, hosted by myself and Julie of The Little Kitchen. This will be our 5th annual event (where has the time gone?!) Last year we had an incredible 566 bloggers participate and, with the help of our amazing brand partners, raised an impressive $12,335 for Cookies for Kids’ Cancer. (Check out all 471 cookie recipes from last year’s swap here and here.)

The premise is this: eligible food bloggers sign up. Receive the addresses of three other food bloggers. Send each of them one dozen delicious homemade cookies. Receive three different boxes of scrumptious cookies from other bloggers. Eat them all yourself (or, you know, share. If you want. No judgement either way.) Post your cookie recipe on your blog. See everyone else’s cookie recipes. Salivate. Get lots of great ideas for next year’s cookie swap. Rinse and repeat.

This year, once again, we will be partnering with Cookies for Kids’ Cancer, and collecting a $4 donation from every participant. By participating in this cookie swap you are not only contributing to the food blogger community, but also supporting a great cause. Additionally, our generous brand partners (Dixie Crystals and Land ‘O Lakes) will EACH be matching our donation (up to $3,000) as well as sending out some coupons and goodies to our participants. We are also still open to new brand partners, so if your company is interested in joining our efforts, please get in touch.

  1. Hi Julie, this is my first time participating….are there any printable cookie tags for this 2015 cookie swap available? Thanks, Cheri

  2. How about a new category for the “cookie swap” fundraiser .  . . a big donation for cookies. . . Called “deep pockets for cookies” or something like that.  If bakers made just one more dozen, then someone like me could make a much larger donation ($25 maybe) and get the 3 dozen cookies without baking. This would up the fundraising and perhaps not be too much extra work for the bakers. Sign me up!

  3. this is my first year doing it, and i’m so excited! doing good and getting to make/eat cookies in the process sounds like so much fun (:

  4. I participated last year for the first time and I had a blast. I just signed up for this year’s event and I can’t wait. What could be better than baking and sharing and eating delicious cookies while helping kids fight cancer?
    Thank you for organizing.
