It’s the most wonderful time, of the year: cookie swap time! I am so excited to announce the launch of this year’s Great Food Blogger Cookie Swap, hosted by myself and Julie of The Little Kitchen. This will be our 4th annual event (gosh, it seems like only yesterday we started this thing, with little to no idea just how big it’d become). Last year we had over 600 bloggers participate and, with the help of our amazing brand partners, raised over $14,000 for Cookies for Kids’ Cancer. An amazing accomplishment, all centered around cookies. (And, if you’re hungry–or want to be–you can see all 555 cookie recipes from last year’s swap here and here.)
The premise is this: eligible food bloggers sign up. Receive the addresses of three other food bloggers. Send each of them one dozen delicious homemade cookies. Receive three different boxes of scrumptious cookies from other bloggers. Eat them all yourself (or, you know, share. If you want. No judgement either way.) Post your cookie recipe on your blog. See everyone else’s cookie recipes. Salivate. Get lots of great ideas for next year’s cookie swap. Rinse and repeat.
This year, once again, we will be partnering with Cookies for Kids’ Cancer, and collecting a $4 donation from every participant. By participating in this cookie swap you are not only contributing to the food blogger community, but also supporting a great cause. Additionally, our four generous brand partners, OXO, Dixie Crystals, California Olive Ranch, and Brownie Brittle will EACH be matching our donation (up to $3,000). We are also still open to new brand partners, so if your company is interested in joining our efforts, please get in touch!
Want to join in on the fun?
Hurry over to the official Great Food Blogger Cookie Swap website to sign up. Be sure to read through the full rules and requirements and make sure you are able to meet the deadlines and fulfill the requirements. There are no refunds if you drop out prior to the sign-up deadline or if you don’t meet all the requirements for participation.
Sign ups will be accepted through Sunday, November 2nd.
The website will be updated regularly throughout the event, so bookmark the URL or follow us on facebook to get the most up to date info about status and deadlines and be sure you don’t miss anything.
More bloggers = more cookies = more good.
