Official #MilkshakeWeek 2014

Milkshake Week 2014 is upon us! I hope you weren’t craving something savory, because this week we’re posting nothing but milkshakes. Who’s we? Well, Julie of The Little Kitchen and me, of course. After all, this whole thing was her idea (brilliant, huh?) Sometimes I think that girl thinks of nothing but milkshakes, so it was no surprise when she suggested this frosty takeover. It’s been in the works for months now. We figured the peak of summer would be the perfect time to indulge in a milkshake. Or two. Or three. We hope you’ll be inspired to blend up your own sweet concoction and go bask in the sun, because vitamin D (I mean, it’s practically health food, right?)

Sure, it was hard to whittle down my plentiful ideas to just 3, but I think you’ll be very pleased with the unique milkshake recipes I’ve got in store for you this week. And if you don’t, well, blame Julie. We’ve also lured a few blogging buddies into our blended scheme as well, so rest assured there will be no shortage of milkshake recipes.

Being that milkshakes simply wouldn’t be without milk, we’d also like to call your attention to The Great American Milk Drive. Florida Dairy Farmers (one of the generous sponsors of #MilkshakeWeek) represents more than 130 dairy farmers who work hard every day to provide a steady supply of fresh milk. Right now, their efforts are focused on the The Great American Milk Drive to help provide much-needed milk to families through Feeding America. While milk is one of the top nutritious items requested by food bank clients, it’s rarely donated. But you can help provide much-needed milk to families in need. Visit http://milklife.com/give or text “MILK” to 27722 to make a donation to Feeding America.
