  9. I am going to learn how to make homemade caramel this holiday season. I already have pink salt to go on top of the caramel candies. For the meals—quinoa, broiled fish and many many vegetable and a salad from our garden—arugula, herbs etc.

  20. I plan to make the classic Gingerbread cutout cookies! I already made the dough and am waiting for a cookie-exchange with my bookclub. Also want to try the Reese’s Chocolate and Peanut Butter Sandwich Cookies along with the staples of sugar cookies, peanut bars and chocolate covered pretzels.

  35. More candymaking than baking right now- planning on trying my hand at homemade caramels and peppermint patties, thought I’ll definitely be baking date toffee pudding for Christmas.

  47. for this holiday, i REALLY want to succeed in a vegan peppermint mocha cupcake! i have succeeded in the past making the non-vegan version, but since i’ve been trying to avoid more vegan these days, i want to create a tasty vegan dessert that my family would also just gobble right up!

    that and also something with spaghetti squash as a side dish…any suggestions?

  51. On my holiday recipe list is snickerdoodles, red velvet biscotti, gingerbread, frosted sugar cookies, apple pie, chocolate fudge, peppermint patties, and good ol’ peanut brittle!

  52. During the holidays my kitchen is filled with goodies. Some nice beef stew with wine, carrots, potatoes and celery simmers in the crock pot. Baking some cookies for the family- white chocolate and macadamia nut for the gramps, and gingerbread and apricot whoopie pies for the coworkers!

  57. My neighbor Janet, her daughter Amanda and I just spent the evening planning Christmas dinner for our little group of 8 (my husband and 3 adult children and her family. Along with planning our dinner menu of roast duck, twice baked goat cheese stuffed potatoes, and fabulous salad we planned our baking day together. We’ll be baking and decorating sugar cookies and will definitely make a chocolate rum rolled Christmas cake. What fun! I told them both about your website and I’m a fan on Facebook.

  58. I’m making sugar cookies, toffee/pretzel bark and caramel filled chocolates.

  59. I started my holiday baking on November 1 – with a huge batch of fruitcake. We’ll also be making spritz, pineapple filled, and dark chocolate-pine nut cookies.

  60. I am focusing on Christmas candies this year – caramels, brittle, toffee, mints, etc. But, I also MUST make my annual favorites – cereal date balls and soft ginger cookies! Yum!
