Our old toaster was pathetic. Really. When we first moved to Tennessee, while Taylor was reluctantly painting our kitchen walls turquoise, I spent hours online picking out a toaster. I finally purchased a cute little $35 toaster on eBay, wooed by the turquoise color and less concerned about the actual functionality of it. When the toaster finally arrived, the adjustment knob on the front was detached and floating around the box. I emailed the seller about the damage, who promptly refunded my $35 and told me it wasn’t even worth the postage to sent it back.

Fast forward seven years later, and we were still using that little turquoise toaster. Turns out if you carefully reinserted the knob you could still choose the toastiness level just fine. Every time it fell out, we just stuck it back in.

Needless to say, I think we were well overdue for a new toaster.

Magimix® Vision Toaster Giveaway from @loveandoliveoil

Enter Magimix® by Robot-Coupe®. Probably most well known for their tricked out food processors (someday…) but I never realized they made toasters too. One look at the slick chrome casing and genius glass front (seriously brilliant) and I was sold.

With our old toaster, I’d have to toast a piece of bread three times, flipping it over and around at least twice if I wanted it even remotely evenly toasted. And even then one side of the bread would be burnt while the other side was still pale and soft.

The Magimix® Vision Toaster makes toast a spectator sport. You can watch your toast toast and remove it at the precise level of toastiness you desire. And with a single cycle, the bread is evenly golden brown on both sides. And the bagel, reheat, and defrost settings will prove useful in just about any toast situation.

  1. Homemade bread lightly toasted with peanut butter or almond butter and jam!

  2. Still using a hand me down, give away toaster. Love the modern chrome and see through door so your dad can make perfectly medium toast, with butter and preserves, not black, scrape it before you eat toast,  like Bettie always did, haha.

  3. Golden brown topped with scrambled eggs!

  24. Sadly the way I like my toast varies greatly from the way I get my toast! I have the oldest toaster oven known to man. So my toast ends up burnt on one side and completely pale on the other. I’ve learned to live with it.  But I actually love my toast golden brown and crispy.

  25. I subscribe

  26. I like egg salad and bacon in a buttered toast sandwich. Health food.

  27. I liked my toast very light. It would be wonderful to watch it so it doesn’t get too brown. I love savory toppings and stay clear from anything sweet.

  37. Ahh! I loveeee my toast on the verge of untoasted – slightly brown and crispy on the outside, but still a bit soft on the inside. My family thinks I’m crazy. “You can’t have toast that’s not toasted!!”

But hey, burnt or barely toasted – slather it up with some PB and bananas, and I’m there.

  38. I like my toast with butter and raspberry jam.

  39. Slightly browned with butter! When my husband and I first married and I asked for toast in the morning, he would bring me toasted bread… Dry. I’ll never understand why he thought toast was just toasted bread :)
To me, toast has always been bread AND butter! Needless to say, after 4 years of wedded bliss, when I say I want toast – he brings me toasted bread with butter!
    P. S. Liked and subscribed, thanks for the opportunity to win!

  51. With peanut butter and raw honey. I also like to be able to eat my toast, but my toaster enjoys shooting my toast out in random directions some mornings, including into the crevice between my counter and the wall. I’d like one of these toasters but the first picture makes me think I’ll be subject to show-off.

  61. I actually only eat toasted bread, so a good toaster is essential at our home. I like my toast pretty brown ( hmm well-done?) but even all my sandwiches are served on toasted bread.. Tuna spread is my all time favorite. I am more savory, while my husband is more sweet.

  92. My absolute favorite is toast topped with peanut butter & cinnamon sugar! My second favorite is to smash an avocado, top with a runny egg, salt & pepper.

  93. I like my toast dark. I’ve had the same toaster for almost 21 years. I need a new one desperately, but I can’t find one that gets rave reviews. I’ve looked many times, but even the very spendy models get a lot of negative reviews. So I’ve stuck with the one I have. It does work, but shuts down way before my bread is toasted, no matter how dark the setting. But for a 21 year old toaster, I guess that’s pretty good. Nowadays manufacturers don’t build things to last. They want you to buy a new one every few years to keep up their bottom lines. So I shouldn’t complain. I’ve never heard of this brand. I will check them out. Thanks for the giveaway!

  94. I like my toast crispy but barely browned with a little butter and granulated garlic
