    The women in my family always get together to make fudge, sugar cookies, zucchini bread, chocolate pies and so much more. Those are easily the recipes I most look forward to making because it’s not just about the food, it’s about the memories created with the women I love most.

    I always make 10 different kind cookies for my cookie tray…the cookies rotate form year to year but, the decorated gingerbread men make the cut every year.

    Christmas is my most favorite time of year. My baking agenda will consist of almond roca, truffles, gingerbread cookies, and of course peppermint bark. :) Yum!

    Coming from an Mexican and Spanish background, I cannot wait to bake and cook my favorite Holiday dishes for my family. Flan, Pastel de Tres Leches, croquettes, and paella! Heaven.

    Christmas baking… mmmmmmm!!
    Cookies – my Granmommie’s Black Pepper Cookies (you won’t find HER recipe!); gingerbread; frosted & decorated sugar cookies, as well as Choc Chip-Oatmeal-PB+Kitchen Sink cookies (you won’t find this recipe, either!). I will also be baking my specialty free-form apple pies!!! (Even my pup gets one of these!) ‘Tis the season for keeping the kitchen warm!! :)

    Oh man! What WON’T I be baking??

    My faves are Russian Tea Cakes, Pecan Tassies, Santa Whiskers and of course, decorated sugar cookies!! I think this year’s sugar cookies might just be chocolate! Ooo…mixin’ it up this year!

    My recipes for the holiday season are rather extensive! My mom and I make 10 different types of cookies every year to hand out to family and friends. The list includes:
    Triple chocolate chunk, chocolate crinkles, Mexican wedding cakes, rugelach’s, thumbprints, frosted cut outs, carmelitas, lemon bars, mini cheese cakes, and finally peanut butter with a Hershey kiss!
