Nothing wrong with small. We, however, find more a whole turkey a waste in many regards. We go for a turkey breast. It works out great. No leftovers (like dark meat that most don't favour anyway) and no over eating. Also in having a turkey breast we can enjoy the flavours of the holidays through out the year and experiment with different methods of preparations.

Glad your meal was a pleasure.

Happy Thanksgiving! It looks delicious! Your food photos are always great.
I can't wait until I get to experiment with my own grand feasts!

What a great post and lovely photos. For years now, my husband and I have had a Thanksgiving of three. We always invite a good friend of ours and keep it low key but traditional. Here's to a small Thanksgiving... Cheers!

We love Thanksgiving for the same reasons you do. This year we made the Artichoke Parmesan stuffing from Sunset Magazine. It was delicious. We are also big believers in the brining method, have used it for the past 5 years and it's always good.

Thanks for a great blog!
