I know this is an old post, but I JUST found this blog, and I made these tonight. My 9 yr old ate 2 burgers - so that alone speaks volumes, at least it does in my house!

After reading the recipe, I added chili pepper, knowing there would need to be a kick, and next time, I will probably add up to 1 tsp.

I was out of onion, subbed with celery, and used broccoli. I also added minced garlic. I had to make my own bread crumbs, so the crumbs were on the chunkier side, but totally didn't interfere with the burger at all.

They only break if you flip too soon.

I wonder what other veggies I can play with, but this recipe is just outstanding, I don't know that I want to deviate!

THANK YOU!!!

Too bad they use cilantro. I'll have to try them with something else, any suggestions? I love garbanzo beans and think that the basic recipes sounds wonderful!

These look amazing! I haven't tried to make any sort of veggie burger yet, I have been waiting for the right one to come along ever since some good success with homemade falafel. These sound like they may be the ones to try.
