Good job. Did you know that your grandmother Bettie's favorite salad was avocado and grapefruit? She would send us up to the roof off of your dad's room to pick an avocado (this was LA you know). And of course the lettuce was iceberg (LA in the 50's...) and no one even knew what a blood orange was. She would have liked this, I'm sure. Right now we are not getting avocados. I've been told the California crop was destroyed in the San Diego fire, and I refuse to buy avocados from Chile. By the time they get here they are too expensive, over ripe andhave no taste. Oh well.
